Robert E Bajackson Lecturer - School of Jrnlism & Mass CommResearch: I am continuing to write a couple of books. One is a non traditional approach to writing. It has met some resistance since developmental educators are combining reading with writing and are using a variety of programs. However, my approach will continue to be focused on one's own experience. I am also trying to research a book on Dr. WIlliam Whaley; he is the physician who took care of Sen. Lyndon Johnson after the senator's first heart attack in 1955. I will continue to conduct more focus groups on a theory I conducted with positive feedback. I plan on moving forward this academic year to pursue and begin writing chapters based on the feedback from the focus groups which will introduce a twist on teaching writing from experiences people have occurred in their lives. The common element will show how consistency in how people lie can parallel traditional writing theories with fewer grammar errors.
