  • Research: Dr. Eric Weaver’s research and scholarly interests focus on value-based healthcare transformation, population health management, and health equity. His work explores strategies to advance accountable care models, enhance payer-provider collaboration, and optimize risk-based contracting to improve both clinical and financial outcomes.
His research also delves into healthcare workforce development, particularly in preparing future healthcare administrators to lead in an era of value-driven care. He is committed to integrating emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence and predictive analytics, into population health strategies to enhance care coordination, reduce hospitalizations, and improve patient engagement.
Dr. Weaver has a strong interest in Lifestyle Medicine, emphasizing the role of preventive care, whole-person health, and social determinants of health in chronic disease management. He investigates the integration of nutrition, physical activity, stress management, and behavioral health interventions into value-based care models, aiming to reduce healthcare costs while improving patient well-being.

    Additional areas of research include:
Advanced primary care transformation and team-based care models
Healthcare financing and risk-based reimbursement models
Interdisciplinary approaches to addressing social determinants of health (SDOH)
The intersection of AI, digital health, and precision medicine in healthcare delivery
The role of leadership and organizational culture in healthcare transformation

Dr. Weaver’s scholarship is centered on bridging policy, technology, and clinical practice to create sustainable, patient-centered healthcare systems that promote health equity and long-term well-being.
