Biography and education
Dr. Bingyang Zhang joined Texas State University as an Assistant Professor in the Ingram School of Engineering in Fall 2025. He earned both his Ph.D. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. From 2021 to 2024, Dr. Zhang was a postdoctoral researcher in applied biomechanics at the School of Integrative Biology, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Prior to joining Texas State, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Sibley School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Cornell University.
