Biography

Dr. Mojdeh A. Pajouh, Ph.D., P.E., is an Assistant Professor in the Ingram School of Engineering at Texas State University. Her expertise is in geotechnical and transportation safety engineering, with a focus on the experimental and computational evaluation of infrastructure systems under extreme and impact loading. Her research supports the development of national safety standards for roadside and transportation infrastructure.
Dr. Pajouh earned her Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical Engineering) from Texas A&M University. She received her M.Sc. in Civil Engineering (Structural–Earthquake Engineering) from Tehran Polytechnic (Amirkabir University of Technology), Iran.

Research Interests

- Experimental and numerical investigation of soil–structure interaction under impact and extreme loading
- Design, evaluation, and crashworthiness of roadside safety hardware and transportation infrastructure
- Computational modeling of dynamic and impact events using advanced finite-element methods

Geotechnical engineering, including soil mechanics, foundation design, and soil dynamics
Computational tools and numerical modeling for civil and geotechnical applications
