Biography
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management from Texas State University in 2009 and began my career in Health Information Management with Ascension Seton in Austin later that year. Over the next several years, I advanced through a variety of HIM leadership roles across multiple healthcare facilities, gaining extensive experience in health information operations, revenue cycle management, compliance, and healthcare technology.
In 2017, following Ascension’s partnership with R1 RCM for revenue cycle operations, I was appointed Regional HIM Operations Manager, providing leadership and oversight for Health Information Management services across all Ascension hospitals in Texas. In this role, I led large-scale operational initiatives focused on documentation integrity, regulatory compliance, revenue cycle optimization, and electronic health record implementation.
In 2025, I completed a Master of Science in Biomedical Informatics from UTHealth Houston, further expanding my expertise in healthcare technology, data analytics, interoperability, and digital health transformation. I currently serve as a Technology Operations Manager with Ascension Health Technologies, where I support strategic technology initiatives that enhance healthcare delivery and operational performance.
In addition to my professional responsibilities, I am passionate about educating future healthcare leaders and enjoy teaching undergraduate Health Information Management courses at Texas State University.
