Biography and education
I received my BSHIM from Tx State University in 2009. I then started my HIM career at Ascension Seton in Austin in September of 2009. I started as a Clerical Supervisor over a small HIM team at University Medical Center Brackenridge. From there I progressed to a HIM Supervisor over the HIM Department. After successfully completing several projects to convert paper medical records to an electronic EHR, I progressed to a HIM Site Manager, then HIM Operations Manager over several of the Ascension Seton Sites in the Austin Area. In 2017 Ascension contracted out the Revenue Cycle operations to R1RCM. Shortly after, I progressed to a Regional HIM Operations Manager over all Ascension hospitals in Texas. I am currently studying to obtain my Masters in Biomedical Informatics at UTHealth Houston.
