Felix Quayson, Ed.D., Ph.D., M.S.Ed., M.A., B.Sc., CMTE, TEFL/TESOL.
PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY: As an accomplished educational research scientist and scholar, I am dedicated to exploring how credentials of value (degree, non-degree, certificates, badges, micro-skills, apprenticeships), college and career readiness, STEM education, and workforce education influence economic mobility and self-efficacy. My interdisciplinary scholarship is deeply rooted in education sciences encompassing career and technical/vocational education, credentialing industry certifications and micro-credentials, and leadership. I bring extensive expertise in higher education, performance metrics, edtech, training and development, labor relations, project design, and management. With a keen professional interest in course and educational program design, multimedia activities, and entrepreneurship, I blend practical experience with academic rigor to develop innovative and transformative solutions that enhance educational outcomes and workforce readiness. My work is driven by a commitment to fostering economic opportunity and empowering individuals through education. My education sciences practice is anchored in five core tenets: learning systems, human development, schools as organizations, policymaking in education, and social structures and stratification.
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: I have been recognized as a national postsecondary career and technical education research fellow by the ECMC Foundation. My work includes contributions to the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) STEM Education Grant projects# 2000472 and #2151029, along with serving as an NSF grant reviewer. I received a grant from the ECMC Foundation to establish a National Applied Research Center on Industry Certifications and Career Readiness for Black Males. Additionally, I serve as a book series editor in organization, workforce, and leadership studies at Information Age Publishing, and was elected Secretary for the AERA CTE SIG for the 2023-2025 term. My dedication extends to serving on the board of directors at Youth Social Educational Vocational Training Academy in Springfield, MA. As a co-founder of New Mind Media, LLC, I contribute to providing online training in career skills and job programs through our education and business consulting services.
