Biography
Dr. Landers is from McKinney, Texas. She received her PhD in Philosophy from the University of Miami in 2022. She was a Fellow in Philosophy at Harvard University in 2019. She earned her MA in Philosophy from Georgia State University in 2015 and a BA in Philosophy and Psychology from Texas Tech University in 2011.
Research Interests
Dr. Landers' primary areas of focus are philosophy of mind, philosophy of perception, and cognitive science. Her training is at the intersection of philosophy and psychology. She works especially on the contents of perception, visual expertise, perceptual learning, and the relation between thought and perception.
Dr. Landers is also active in the scholarship of teaching and learning.

Teaching Interests
At Texas State University, Dr. Landers regularly teaches in-person and online sections of Phil 1320: Ethics and Society. She teaches seminars and independent studies on topics such as feminist philosophy, philosophy of mind, and the philosophy of virtual reality to graduate students enrolled in the Applied Philosophy and Ethics MA (MAAPE) program. At previous institutions, she taught Critical Thinking, Introduction to Philosophy, Biomedical Ethics, and more.
