Biography and Education

Richard Wiley joined Texas State University in Fall 2021. Mr. Wiley is a 5th year PhD candidate in the School of Social Work at Louisiana State University. He received a BA in Psychology from Wichita State University, and an MA in Sociology from Wichita State University, an MSW in Social Work from Washburn University, and earned an MBA in Business Management from Newman University.

Race and Ethnicity / Human Diversity and Oppression, Mental Health, Human Behavior in Social Environment, Research Methods, Social Work Practice and Policy

Research Interests

Hip Hop Therapy and Hip Hop Based Interventions, African American youth issues, African American males and mental health, African American fatherhood, Race and Ethnicity
