Biography
Dr Shen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Texas State University. He earned his PhD in Statistics from Michigan State University and worked as a postdoctoral associate in the Department of Biostatistics at the University of Florida. His research sits at the intersection of statistical/machine learning theory and statistical genetics, focusing on neural-network- and kernel-based methods for genetic risk prediction and association analysis.
