Biography

Leia Downs is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Department of Nutrition & Foods and the Graduate Program Co-Coordinator for the MS in Human Nutrition--both programs are in the School of Family and Consumer Sciences. Additionally, she is a registered and licensed dietitian with clinical practice experience. At Texas State University, Ms. Downs earned her BFA in theatre, her MS in Human Nutrition, and completed her Dietetic Internship. During her MS program, she worked as a Graduate Instructional and Research Assistant. Presently, she serves on a number of committees as part of her role as Graduate Program Co-Coordinator.
