Biography Section

Biography and Education

Peter Golato joined Texas State University in 2013. He previously held tenure-line faculty appointments at the University of Alabama, Utah State University, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Golato holds a BA in History from the University of Connecticut, an MA in French linguistics from Louisiana State University, and a PhD in French linguistics from the University of Texas at Austin.

Research Interests

Golato has published research in the fields of conversation analysis, experimental psycholinguistics, and pragmatics. His scholarly interests include language and social interaction, applied linguistics, and language processing.
