Biography Section

Biography and Education

Dr. Peter Golato joined Texas State University in 2013. He previously held tenure-line faculty appointments at the University of Alabama, The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Utah State University. Dr. Golato holds a BA in History from the University of Connecticut, an MA in French linguistics from Louisiana State University, and a PhD in French linguistics from the University of Texas at Austin.

Research Interests

Dr. Golato has published research in the fields of experimental psycholinguistics, conversation analysis, and pragmatics. His scholarly interests include language and social interaction, applied linguistics, and language acquisition.
