Biography Section

Biography and Education

Ph.D. in Music Theory and M.A. in Musicology. Taught at Michigan State University from 1997 through 1999, at Central Michigan University from 1999 through 2001, and at Texas State University since 2001.

Teaching Interests

music theory / aural skills, musicology / music history, popular music / jazz history

Research Interests

rediscovery of underrepresented composers and musicians, interdisciplinary aspects of 19th/20th century musics, computational music research, methods and methodology of music research, music theory / history pedagogy, and music historiography
