Research Interests
My research agenda bridges theory and practice to further advance access, development, leadership, and transition in adult education and the workplace. To conceptualize and organize my research, I use a 5P framework: the people, a pathway, the processes and platforms, and the professoriate. This framework reflects a holistic view of adult education, encompassing the learners, prior learning assessment (PLA) or credit for prior learning (CPL) as one pathway, the processes and platforms that support their access and success, and the development of their educators. I fulfill this mission through adult education and interdisciplinary research, teaching, training, and service.
