Biography
I am a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Texas State University, where I (Principle Investigator) direct the Probabilistic and Human-Aligned Modeling (PHAM) Lab (https://phamlab.io/). I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from The Ohio State University (OSU) in 2025. Before OSU, I received my bachelor's degree (Valedictorian) from FPT University. Research Interests
My research lies at the intersection of machine learning and its applications to healthcare and biomedicine, with a focus on trustworthy AI (fairness, robustness, explainability), multimodal medical imaging, and biomedical foundation & multimodal language models.
Teaching Interests
My teaching interests span artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, and their applications to real-world problems. I am particularly interested in teaching courses on machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, trustworthy and responsible AI, and AI for healthcare. In my teaching, I aim to connect fundamental concepts with hands-on experience and current research, helping students develop both a strong theoretical foundation and practical skills for solving real-world problems.
