Biography

Trey Burns is an artist and co-founder of Sweet Pass Sculpture Park, a nonprofit project that supports experimental and site-responsive sculpture in Texas. His writing has appeared in Holt/Smithson Foundation, Nasher Magazine, Burnaway, Patron, and Southwest Contemporary. He served as moderator for the Nasher Graduate Symposium and wrote the keynote essay for the 2025 Nasher Prize Compendium on artist Otobong Nkanga. Sweet Pass has received support from the National Endowment for the Arts, Foundation for Contemporary Arts, TACA, and the City of Dallas.
