Biography
Dr. Fances Disney has served in the education sector since 2010, teaching and developing educational programs for diverse communities. Originally from sunny SoCal, Dr. Disney has been privileged to work with a variety of learning communities, including public, nonprofit, and private organizations. As a proud first-generation college graduate, she is driven by a passion for educational reform and community building. Dr. Disney holds a Master’s in Education from UCLA and a Doctoral degree in Education Leadership from UC San Diego, and is an alum of UCSB's Educational Opportunity Program. Prior to joining Texas State, she served as a Cooperative Learning Program Director for ICC Austin and a Program Designer at IDEA Public School. Outside of the office, she enjoys exploring the outdoors with her pups, writing poetry, practicing her Spanish, yoga-meditation, checking out local museum exhibitions and performances with her husband and son.
