Biography
Dr. Shuvodeep De is a computational researcher and educator with expertise in AI-driven materials discovery, Multiphysics simulation, and large-scale design optimization. He holds a PhD in Computational Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and brings a decade of research and teaching experience across national laboratories, major research universities, and startup ventures.
At Texas State, Dr. De teaches core mechanical engineering courses including CAD and Digital Manufacturing and Mechanical Behavior of Materials, while mentoring undergraduate research in robotics, and applied machine learning. He is actively advising senior design teams on advanced manufacturing systems and contributes to departmental ABET accreditation.
