Biography

I have almost 30 years of teaching and athletic training experience. My tenure has taken me to all levels of education, from primary to tertiary, with the majority at the secondary level. As an athletic trainer I have served mainly in the high school arena, but have worked clinic and university Division I, II, and III levels also. I am a lifetime certified teacher for all levels physical education, and until recently also held Texas Education Agency certificates in General Special Education certification and Early Childhood through 6th grade Generalist teacher certification. My athletic training tenure at the university level provided opportunities as an adjunct that eventually led to my full-time teaching at this level.
