Biography

Dr. Zewei Lin is an Assistant Professor in Analytics at the Department of Information Systems and Analytics, McCoy College of Business. He got his PhD in Business Analytics from the University of Cincinnati in 2024, a B.S. in Statistics, a B.Ec. in Economic Statistics, and a B.A. in Philosophy from Renmin University of China in 2019. His research focuses on developing statistical/machine learning methods to address the multifaceted challenges associated with model transparency. He primarily works on problems that involve discrete data (e.g., binary, rating, or count data) which amplify statistical challenges and call for new developments.

Research Interests

Business Analytics, Model Transparency, Model Diagnostics, Discrete Data, Network Inference, Statistical Inference/Machine Learning in Finance/Information Systems.
