Biography

Dr. Sarah Davidson has a varied nursing career. Following graduation from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences with a BSN, she joined the United State Navy and served for four years in acute care medical-surgical and mental health settings. After a break to raise children, she returned to nursing in the educator role at Arkansas State University. Her 19 years of experience includes teaching in an Associate Degree (RN) program, Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, along with graduate programs such at the master’s and doctor of nursing practice level. Dr. Davidson earned an MSN in Acute Care/Nursing Education from Arkansas State University and a DNP in Educational Leadership from American Sentinel University. At Arkansas State University she grew in leadership roles from program coordinators to the Associate Dean and Director of Nursing Programs in the College of Nursing and Health Professions. During her time as Associate Dean, she developed and implemented online programs at the Associate, Bacalaureate, Master’s, and DNP levels. Following retirement in August, 2024, Dr. Davidson joined the St. David’s School of Nursing faculty at Texas State University and currently serves as the online program coordinator.
