Biography and Education

Dr. David Perry is a per-course lecturer in the Department of Marketing at Texas State University. He is also the Executive Vice President of Strategy at Bowstring Studios where he is a strategic advisor for video content creation within the education and healthcare sectors and focuses on continued development of Bowstring's video content planning service, StoryCycle, for many sectors.

Prior to Bowstring, Perry was the principal & founder of Perry IQ, a marketing and strategy consultancy serving clients in the higher education and healthcare sectors where he was a strategic advisor to clients including Stanford Medicine and the University of Louisville. Before to launching Perry IQ, Perry served as Chief Marketing Officer of University of Utah Health where he oversaw a team responsible for the U of U Health brand, clinical & content marketing, PR, web, and thought leadership. Prior to U of U Health, Perry served as Chief Marketing Officer at Bentley University.
David brings more than 25 years of brand, marketing and strategy experience in fields as varied as academia, health care, technology and consumer products with companies including Microsoft and Quaker Oats.

Perry has a doctorate in Organizational Development & Change from Bowling Green State University, holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, a BBA from the University of Kentucky, and serves on the boards of Lindsey Wilson College (KY) and the Madison House Autism Foundation and is former adjunct marketing professor at Seattle University.
