Biography and Education

Kai Alexander Saldsieder is a visiting professor at Texas State University, where he teaches classes in International Marketing and Services Marketing at McCoy College of Business.

He is a full-time Professor of General Management and International Business at the Business School of Pforzheim University, an AACSB-accredited Insitution in the South-West of Germany.

Dr. Saldsieder has already completed several visits in the USA, including at Arizona State, the University of Maryland and Pennsylvania State University.

He received a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Hamburg, an M.B.A. from Henley Business School/ University of Reading (UK), and his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Helmut-Schmidt University/ University of the Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg.

Before joining Pforzheim University, Dr. Saldsieder worked as a Customer Business Development Manager / Sales Director at US-American Corporations (P&G, MGM, Hasbro). Moreover, he gained deep-going expertise in German Midsize Family Businesses (Mittelstand) as interim Managing Director as well as Management Consultant and Trainer for Strategic Management and International Customer and Market Development. Kai Alexander Saldsieder started his career by serving ten years in the German Bundeswehr as Army Officer (Captain: OF-2; Leopard 2 MBT).

In his faculty role Kai Alexander Saldsieder teaches Strategic Management, International Business, and General Management in international classes.

According to his professional background, seminars in Leadership and Personality Development round up his teaching portfolio.

Dr. Saldsieder serves as Pforzheim University's liaison manager to academic partner institutions in Denmark and is actively involved in the accreditation efforts for AACSB/EFMD as a member of the General Management Team.

In addition, he supports the national AQAS accreditation team as a specialist in international business studies.

He also frequently advises Small and Medium Sized Business in Business Development: Strategic Management and International Market Development.

In his spare time, Dr. Saldsieder is an engaged community volunteer in the Order of St. John.
