Biography and education
Liza Kalinina is an Instructor of Record and Graduate Teaching Assistant in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication. She teaches MC 1313 – Media Writing beginning in Fall 2025 and is pursuing her M.A. in Mass Communication.
Her connection to Texas began as a teenager, when she was selected by the U.S. Department of State for the Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) Program and spent the 2014–2015 academic year at Wimberley High School. She later earned her Bachelor's degree with honors in International Communication from Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok, Russia.
