Biography Section

Biography and Education

Ariel Kay received her B.S. in Anthropology from Bryn Mawr College with a Minor in Education. She received a M.A. in Art Education from the University of Texas at Austin. She taught elementary art for eight years in Austin ISD, six of those years at a Title 1 school in East Austin.

Research Interests

Anthropology of Education, school ethnography, student-centered art education curriculum, culturally proficient pedagogy, social and emotional learning
