Biography and Education
Sam Heimbach is an Assistant Professor of Practice for the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Texas State University, where she teaches courses within its public relations major.Prior to joining Texas State as a faculty member, Heimbach worked in a variety of communications roles. She's led communications for higher education departments and technology companies, while working at PR agencies and serving in in-house roles. Heimbach most recently led a team of communication professionals at The University of Texas at Austin in its University Marketing and Communications department.
Heimbach earned an M.A. in Human Dimensions of Organizations from the The University of Texas at Austin and a B.A. in Mass Communication with a focus in Public Relations from Texas State University.
