Biography
Dr. Denae Dyck holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Victoria, an M.A from Dalhousie University, and a B.A. from Ambrose University. Her publications include articles in Victorian Poetry, Victorian Review, Victorian Popular Fictions Journal, Volupte: Interdisciplinary Journal of Decadence Studies, Religions, and European Romantic Review. She is the author of Biblical Wisdom and the Victorian Literary Imagination (Bloomsbury Academic, 2024). This book traces the creative refashioning of wisdom literature as a genre that took on new significance during the nineteenth century. Her ongoing research focuses on nineteenth-century women writers, religious transformations, and periodical press networks.
