I have 20 years of experience teaching all levels chemistry and physics at Austin High School and 10 years of experience teaching chemistry as an adjunct professor at Austin Community College. I served 4 years as Science Department Chair at Austin High where I was instrumental in developing and implementing Project Based curriculum for the Science and Innovation Academy there.
I currently serve as the General Chemistry Coordinator, and the Team Leader for the chemistry group in the STEM Communities Learning Assistant program. My main interest is in providing innovative programs and resources to improve the educational experience for TXST students.

Teaching Interests

My main interest as an instructor is to improve student success by providing innovative programs and resources. I would like to increase the STEM Communities Learning Assistant Program to include CHEM 1341, CHEM 1342 and CHEM 1335. I have been involved as Team Leader for Chemistry in the LA program since Summer 2022 and feel that the program provides the most benefit for my chemistry students as well as the learning assistants.
