Biography and education
Harlan T. Beverly, Ph.D. has more 20 years of experience as a leader in technology in both B2B and B2C companies. He is currently CTO at Side Inc. (formerly PTW) and an assistant professor focusing on entrepreneurship and innovation at Texas State University. Harlan is also a mentor and advisor to dozens of startups from Capital Factory, Texas State CIE and all his former students. Previously, Harlan was a lecturer at The University of Texas at Austin where he taught entrepreneurship and helped run the Texas Venture Labs. Harlan was the CEO of Key Ingredient, Inc which he sold in 2018. Harlan was previously the founder Bigfoot Networks, Inc. (Sold in 2011) and Karmaback, Inc (Sold in 2013). He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Ohio Northern University, an M.B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin, and his PhD in Business from Oklahoma State University.
