Biography
Dr. Sanjay Ramchander serves as Dean of the McCoy College of Business at Texas State University, where he leads a vibrant community of more than 5,000 students across the departments of Accounting, Finance and Economics, Information Systems and Analytics, Management, and Marketing. He is also a professor of finance and holds the Darren Casey Endowed Professorship in Business, championing a student-centered approach that prepares graduates for successful and meaningful business careers.
An accomplished financial economist, Dr. Ramchander's research focuses on financial market efficiency, futures and commodity markets, macroeconomic dynamics in emerging economies, global market spillovers, and investor behavior. His scholarship has been published in numerous leading academic journals, and he is a former Fulbright Scholar and holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Before joining Texas State, Dr. Ramchander served as Senior Associate Dean for Academic Programs in the College of Business at Colorado State University, where he led academic strategy, innovation, and partnership development initiatives. A native of Hyderabad, India, he earned an MBA from Saint Louis University, and a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Finance from Cleveland State University.
