Biography and Education
I began my career as a language teacher with a 6-week training in Guadalajara, Mexico, for teachers of English as a Foreign Langauge. After teaching English to third graders in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and adults in Puerto Escondido, Mexico, I decided to return to Texas and continue my education with the goal of teaching Spanish to adults. I earned my MA in Spanish here at Texas State University in 2009 and my Ph.D. in Foreign Language Education at the University of Texas at Austin in 2019.

Increasing students' willingness to communicate and decreasing students' foreign language anxiety

Computer-aided language learning, Social media for language-learning purposes, and Foreign language anxiety
