Vatsalya Sharma is a dedicated educator and professional in the field of construction science and management, currently serving as Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Department of Engineering Technology at Texas State University. With a robust academic and professional background, Vatsalya holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the School of Planning and Architecture in New Delhi and a Master of Science in Technology Management from Texas State University. His academic journey is complemented by a diploma in 3D Animation and Visual Effects from the Vancouver Film School.Since joining Texas State University in 2020, Vatsalya has been instrumental in advancing the curriculum by integrating cutting-edge Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) technologies across various courses. His teaching philosophy emphasizes practical, applied learning in a student-centered environment, aiming for long-term knowledge retention and engagement. Vatsalya's courses, such as Construction Lab (CSM 2262) and Architecture Design I & II, are designed to provide hands-on experience with the latest tools and techniques in the construction industry, including 3D and 4D BIM, Reality Capture, and Virtual Reality.
