Biography and Education
Jose holds a Master of Arts degree in Spanish and a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Spanish from Texas State University. Jose completed a master’s thesis focusing on the evolution of the Spanish language as well as the use of regionalisms in both folk and popular songs from the borderlands of the Rio Grande Valley in Deep South Texas and northern Mexico.Jose is a member of the National Hispanic Honor Society, Sigma Delta Pi.
