Teaching Interests

Chicana/o/x feminist literature and cultural productions; Latina/o spirituality; cultural productions by women of color; decolonial feminist thought; feminist publishing and editorial praxis; trauma studies

Research Interests

Dr. Ramirez is currently at work on her first book-length manuscript, tentatively titled _Lo/Cura: Negotiating Subjects of Trauma and Tejanx Cultural Productions_. The text bridges decolonial, queer, feminist-of-color cultural and performance analysis to examine cultural representations of Chicanx historical trauma in the U.S.-Mexico borderlands since 1848.
