Biography
Dr. Maedeh Amiri is an Assistant Professor of Instruction at Texas State University. She earned her Ph.D. in Materials Science, Engineering, and Commercialization from Texas State, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. Her doctoral research focused on polymer/clay nanocomposite self-assembly for advanced gas barrier film applications.
Since joining the faculty in 2018, Dr. Amiri has taught a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses, including Lean Systems, Quality Assurance, Industrial Safety, Facilities Planning, Engineering Graphic Design, and Micro and Nano Manufacturing. She is committed to experiential learning, industry engagement, and mentoring students in applied research and professional development.
Her scholarly work includes peer-reviewed journal publications in nanocomposite materials and nanomedicine, as well as a U.S. patent pending. She actively contributes to university service through graduate committees, conference reviewing, and student organization advising, supporting shared governance and academic excellence
