Biography and EducationI am originally from Virginia, but I have lived in Austin off and on since 2007. I have a BA in Women's Studies with an emphasis in gender, sexuality, and public health and a BS in Health and PE Teaching. My master's degree in Health Education is from Texas State. I am married with two children and an active volunteer for Girl Scouts and The International Childbirth Education Association.
Teaching InterestsI enjoy teaching introductory classes that "welcome" students into the world of public health and prepare them for their future careers. I also enjoy teaching classes related to my favorite areas of study: school health disease prevention, personal health, and women's health.
Research InterestsI am interested in school health, childbirth education, and school connectedness.
