Biography

In 2008 I graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree double majoring in Philosophy and Political Science. Initially I planed on going to law school, but decided to work for a nonprofit for a year before deciding to pursue a teaching certification. In 2012 I completed a Texas Teaching Certification in Math grades 8 - 12 from Texas State University. While completing my teaching certification, I worked in the math department as a student grader and classroom assistant. I also worked as a substitute teacher at this time and yoga teacher at Campus Rec TXST.
In 2014 I graduated with a Master of Science degree in Mathematics from Texas State University. While completing my masters degree I was employed in the Math department as a teaching assistant where I taught precalculus and calculus labs as well as developmental math. After completing my masters degree I was employed by the Texas State University math department as a full time lecturer, promoted to senior lecturer, and then promoted to associate professor of instruction. I taught as an adjunct professor at ACC for several years and I taught statistics for the business college at TXST. Texas State University has a special place in my heart since I have been here as both a student and teacher. It feels like home.
