Biography and education
I'm a native Texan with an affinity for the geographical and cultural diversity of Texas. I graduated with a BA in philosophy at Texas Lutheran University, an MA at the University of Houston, and a PhD at Cornell University. My philosophical interests are broad, ranging from the purely theoretical and abstract to the practical and applied. I work mainly in the areas of epistemology and metaphysics, but I also have interests in applied ethics, the philosophy of sport, and logic. Current and recent projects include papers on the following topics: animals and doping, the prudential rationality of participation in dangerous sport, time bias and regret, moral subjectivism, and statistical lives.
