Biography and education
In 1985, I earned my B.A. in Philosophy from Southwest Texas State University. The next fifteen years I spent working in various bureaucracies, some corporate and some educational. Realizing I had had many jobs but no career, I decided to return to college to earn my Ph.D. I earned my M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Mississippi at the turn of the century, 2002, and was fortunate to earn my Ph.D. from Florida State University in 2006. In 2010, I made the choice to return to Texas to live nearer to my elderly parents and contacted Texas State University with my intentions. Once again, fortune smiled, and the Philosophy Department granted me the opportunity to teach my fellow Texans.
