Biography

I am a Professor of Philosophy. I received my Ph.D. from University of Oklahoma and a bachelor's degree from University of West Florida.Jitendra Nath Mohanty directed my dissertation and taught several courses I took. David Carr also served on my committee. I took a few courses from Clark Glymour in philosophy of science.

Research Interests

My research is reflected in what I teach in those classes. I am interested in knowledge of other minds, epistemic closure, testimony, perception,epistemic justification, and especially skepticism. I'm interested in general issues in the philosophy of science, including pseudoscience,relevant evidence, the rationality of science, and the problem ofinduction.

Teaching Interests

I teach Epistemology, Philosophy of Science, and Elementary Logic. I also teach two specialized courses in the philosophy of religion and metaphysics: The Problem of Evil; and Immortality. In the past I taught Phenomenology and Existentialism.
