Biography and education
I started my career as a software engineer. As I had experience working with American professionals expatriated in France and I worked in the US, I was approached by a global training company to train Americans moving to France for work. I really enjoyed the transmission of knowledge and this was the trigger for my teaching career. I started tutoring and teaching Continuing Education at Austin Community College. After a few years I wanted to teach at university level because I am very creative and I wanted the academic freedom to teach my native language. I did a master in Foreign Languages Education at UT Austin and was hired at Texas State University straight away.
