Biography and education
Dr. Mary Brennan became dean of the College of Liberal Arts at Texas State University in September 2017. After receiving her master’s degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, she earned a Ph.D. in History from Miami University of Ohio. Prior to joining Texas State University in 1990, she served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University. An accomplished scholar, she is the author of three monographs and numerous journal articles, and has appeared as a commentator on CNN and C-SPAN.
