Biography and education
Dr. JASON P. JULIAN (PhD, University of North Carolina) is a Professor of Environmental Geography in the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies. A former Fulbright Senior Scholar, he travels and conducts research on human-environment interactions around the world. He has over 50 publications and has contributed chapters to several books, including Streams in a Changing Environment and Collateral Values: The Natural Capital Created by Landscapes of War. His latest book is an environmental history of Texas State Parks and is titled: Stepping Outside - Nature and Society in Texas State Parks (May 2026, TAMU Press).
