Biography and Education

Kim Belcik, PhD, APRN, FNP-BC, CNE is a clinical associate professor at the St. David's School of Nursing at Texas State University. Kim graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor with a BSN, completed her PhD at the University of Texas at Austin and recently received her MSN from Texas Tech University Health Science Center. She is an active member of the Texas Nurses Association and has served as the Vice-President as well as the chair of the Policy Council. She is also a member of the Texas Nurse Practitioners and is active in the Rural Health SIG and is also a legislative ambassador. During her tenure as a registered nurse at Seton Northwest Hospital in Austin, Texas she was actively involved in the Transforming Care at the Bedside initiative, led by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.
