Biography and Education

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the College of Nursing, Christian Medical College, Vellore, India. I graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, School of Nursing, Lubbock, Texas, and post-master’s degree in Family Nurse Practitioner from West Texas A & M University, Canyon, Texas. I earned my doctorate degree in 2019 from The University of Texas at Austin, School of Nursing. I have more than 20 years of teaching and nursing experience, which includes: adult medical-surgical, critical care, and pediatric nursing. I have earned numerous Excellence in Teaching Awards from the College of Health Professions and from the graduating seniors.

Clinical judgment and clinical competence among prelicensure nursing students.
Health promotion behaviors.
Social determinants of health in minority populations.
