Biography
My career in Respiratory Care began during high school when I worked as an on-the-job trainee, administering treatments and oxygen therapy after school and on weekends—back in a time when licensure wasn’t a requirement. Those early experiences ignited my passion for patient care, which has only grown stronger over the years. To this day, Respiratory Care continues to be my dream profession.
I earned my registry in 1982 at the Medical College of Georgia, a master’s degree in Allied Health Sciences from Texas State in 1988, and a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at Austin in 1993
