Biography and education

Liz Rodda is an interdisciplinary artist and filmmaker. She moves between diverse media to examine relationships between bodily presence and the economy of image circulation. Her work has been presented in solo exhibitions at venues such as Dimensions Variable in Miami, FL; The Crisp-Ellert Art Museum in FL; Ditch Projects in OR; Lawndale Art Center in Houston, TX; and David Shelton Gallery in Houston, TX. Her videos have been screened internationally at institutions such as Anthology Film Archives, NY, NY; Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami, FL; and the Medellín Modern Art Museum, Medellín, Colombia. Rodda has participated in artist-in-residence programs, including Fountainhead in Miami, FL; Wassaic, NY; Millay Arts, NY; and the La Napoule Art Foundation in Mandelieu-La-Napoule, France. Rodda is a co-programmer for Experimental Response Cinema, an Austin-based film/video art screening series, and is a Professor at the School of Art & Design at Texas State University, where she founded and heads the Expanded Media area.
