Biography Section

Biography and Education

Laritza is a metalsmith and educator residing in Austin Texas. She received her Master of Fine Arts in 2012 from East Carolina University, and a Bachelor in Fine Arts in 2008 from Texas State University. She maintains an active studio practice underpinned by the integration of illustration, painting and metalsmithing techniques to create body oriented artwork. Her work is included in the permanent collections of the Arkansas Art Center in Little Rock, AK and Racine Art Museum in Racine, WI. Additionally, her work is featured in 500 Necklaces: Contemporary Interpretation of Timeless Form, New Earrings: 500 Designs from Around the World, Metalsmith Magazine and American Craft Magazine.
