Biography and education
Dr. Daphne Everman is an Associate Professor of Instruction in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Texas State University, where she specializes in teacher preparation, curriculum development, and research-informed classroom practices. With over two decades of experience in K–12 and higher education, Dr. Everman brings deep expertise in teacher preparation, curriculum development, and instructional strategies across elementary and middle-grades settings. Her scholarly work explores the integration of literature in science instruction and college access for underserved student populations. She played a key role in the development of Texas State’s accelerated alternative certification program, and she also serves as the long-standing graduate advisor for the Teacher Fellows Program. Recognized with the 2023 College Achievement Award for Teaching, Dr. Everman is known for her student-centered approach, mentorship, and dedication to fostering reflective and effective educators.
