Biography
Dr. Angela Jones earned her Ph.D. in Psychology from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York and is an Associate Professor in the School of Criminal Justice and Criminology at Texas State University. Her research lies at the intersection of psychology, criminology, and the legal system, with a particular focus on public perceptions of criminal justice institutions, procedural justice, policing, and wrongful convictions. Using experimental and survey methods, she examines attitudes toward legal decision-makers and evaluates interventions designed to improve the accuracy and fairness of legal judgments. Her work has appeared in leading interdisciplinary journals, including Journal of Criminal Justice, Journal of Experimental Criminology, Criminal Justice and Behavior, and Psychology, Crime and Law.
